The second day at NTU

Today we went to the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Nanyang Technological University to learn more about Digital Image Processing Techniques and Applications -__-. I would say it was interesting, but I almost slept midway the lecture. During the lecture, I was being bombarded by so much information, I could not take in all the information at once, luckily I still managed to learn many things like how a picture would pass through this formua known as: Discrete Cosine Transform otherwise known as DCT. Sounds chim right? It really is. After going through DCT, the useless or redundant information is removed without changing the resolution and the file size is reduced greatly.

My First Day At NTU Flagship Programme :D

Today, I and my fellow sec 2 school mates arrived at NTU for a 3 day 2 night "camp" to learn more about different Subjects, and learn more NTU itself. We were each assigned to 9 exciting different projects to do over the course of 3 days. I was assigned to project 7, Digital Image processing Techniques and Applications. We get to learn how to refine images and know how digital processes work and also learn about JPEG compressions, I am sure it will be an exciting experience, and cannot wait for tomorrow when the project begins...... well except for the looooong walk we have to go through to reach our destination where we will be going for tomorrow
